They were the perfect accessory for the drive and activities. We picked up stylish Rough Draft insulated bottles for the approaching weekend getaway. We explored further titles before packing up and heading north. The view of the small streets of Kingston, NY, was our backdrop as we ate them along the bar along the bay window. Another order of the regular chicken pot pie was ordered, equally as flavorful. It was great to have authentic Thai basil in the pastry. After purchasing the books we sat down to a light lunch of pot pies catered by a Brooklyn shop. I tilted my head and read each and every title with a draft beer in my hand. Though the book census is low at Rough Draft, the selection is top-notch. I spent scores of minutes walking around the book selections trying to narrow down my purchases while shaking out my road legs. Could there be a place more suited to these tastes than Rough Draft? No. I majored in English in college where I minored in American history.
I am a sucker for great things: I love flavorful coffee. I have just found my go-to rest stop anytime I am heading north through New York. I make numerous trips to the Adirondacks from Pennsylvania and have taken interest in cool stops along the way. I couldn't help but thinking how much I would love a place like Rough Draft in my hometown.
